Spicy Peanut Hummus

This peanut hummus will blow you away with its lovely spicyness from Sriracha and creamy texture with peanutty flavour. The chopped peanuts and spring onion add some nice crunch, and the cilantro and lime add a lovely freshness that takes the whole thing to the next level.

It’s the perfect alternative for when you’re feeling tired of the regular hummus and want to try something different and tasty.

The video is in Swedish, but it’s all pretty straightforward. 😉

Spicy Peanut Hummus

  • 1 can chickpeas
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp sriracha
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • ½ tbsp agavesyrup
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp cold water
  • 1 handful chopped peanuts
  • 2 spring onions, sliced
  • 1 handful cilantro
  • lime juice
  1. Add chickpeas, peanut butter, sriracha, ginger, garlic, agave, salt and pepper in a food processor and mix until smooth. Scrape the sides of the bowl with a spatula if needed.
  2. Add water and oil whle mixing, and mix into a smooth creamy hummus. Serve in a large bowl, garnish with peanuts, spring onion and coriander, and squeeze some lime juice on top. Dip with tortilla chips or use as a sandwich spread or with a salad.
